KAWASAKI Z550

BuGDET RAT RACER

I once bought a Kawasaki Z550 that was in rough shape, and getting it to run smoothly was a real challenge. The engine was the biggest issue—it ran poorly, made strange noises, and showed clear signs of neglect over the years. Every moment I spent on that bike went into tuning, cleaning, and replacing engine parts just to get it running closer to its potential.

Working with a tight budget and under time pressure, I had to get creative. I hunted for second-hand parts online, borrowed tools from friends, and did most of the work in my own garage. Each fix was a small victory, bringing the engine a step closer to hitting the road. It was a constant grind, but in the end, all the effort paid off, and I managed to get the Z550 running strong again.
